2011 And 2012 Models Recalled By Mercedes-Benz Due To Fire Hazard

Mercedes-Benz has issued a recall announcement regarding several units of certain 2011 and 2012 models of vehicles over a possible fire risk.

The company along the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has reported that the models S63 AMG, C300, C300 4Matic, E350, GLK350, S400, S550, S550 4Matic, GLK350 4Matic, CL550 4Matic, and CL63 AMG of the 2011 and 2012 make were equipped with fuel filter flanges that could crack due to an irregularity during the component’s molding process.

If the flange cracks, fuel could leak, which could lead to a fire if it’s near an ignition source.

Mercedes-Benz will be contacting affected owners in the near future.
