The Ford Focus Electric earns the claim of the most efficient all-electric vehicle, according to specialists.

With a 105 MPGe rating and 76 mile range, this newer Focus version comes with a heft price tag of $40,000. Experts note that that’s twice what a gasoline powered Ford Focus will cost you—a vehicle with much more range, acceleration, and a better ride.

Ford made a smart move putting an electric engine in an existing car model, but it had to make some compromises to get the job done. One of the issues with this efficient new model is the trunk space and the somewhat heavy ride. Drivers are surely bound to notice the difference when they drive one.
