The 2013 model of Ford Fusion has been chosen as Insurance Institute for Highway Safety’s top safety pick after the vehicle was tested for several safety factors.

According to the news, the vehicle received “Good” ratings in several evaluations including side and frontal impact, roof strength and dynamic head restraint. The new Ford Fusion is not only one of the leading models when it comes to fuel efficiency, the agency stated, it is also one of the vehicles with the smartest technologies available.

The agency has issued a release showing the vehicle’s features and how well they held up in crash tests.
