The California Highway Patrol offers regular car safety seat checks in various areas, reports show.

The authorities hope to educate parents on how to keep their children safe and how to properly install car safety seats to prevent injuries and keep children safe in the occasion of a crash. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, over 90 percent of parents do not install car safety seats correctly in their vehicles.
