Reports show that many parents know the laws that require their children to be fully restrained in certain safety seating devices until they hit a certain age and weight, but despite wanting to keep their children safe, parents sometimes do not follow these laws.

The problem is not that parents aren’t following the laws because they don’t want to, they fail to follow the laws and keep their children safe because they don’t know exactly how to do it.

Automakers and federal agencies have come together before to teach parents how to keep their children safe by using safety car seats and now, the Polk Fire District is organizing an event that will inform people on how to safely install a car safety seat.
