Chrysler To Develop Supercharged Engines For New Barracuda, Challenger

According to several news agencies, Chrysler is working to develop a supercharged 6.2-liter Hemi V-8 that could make the next generation Barracudas and Challengers dream cars of this generation.

The new vehicles would get anything between 580 and 640 in horsepower but many experts believe that the numbers will be closer to the 600-hp mark.

Chrysler’s new Hellcat is scheduled to be produced sometime next year, which could coincide with the introduction of the new SRT Barracuda and overhaul of the new Challenger.
