DOT Warns Parents They Should Install Car Safety Seats Correctly

Several media outlets have reported that the U.S. Department of Transportation has recently released data regarding the number of child fatalities associated with car accidents.

According to the federal agency, auto crashes are responsible for most of all deaths of children ages 1 to 12 years old in the country. To help to increase safety and keep parents aware of how they must safely restrain their child in their vehicles at all times, Safe Kids USA, the Nevada Department of Public Safety and BCCH will be holding an event to teach parents how to safely install a car safety seat in their vehicle.

Parents and guardians will also be learning about the importance of using car safety seats that appropriate to their children’s height and weight.
