Middleton officials are doing their part on teaching drivers who have been hitting the road lately about the importance of being considerate with those on motorcycles.

The number of fatal motorcycle-related crashes have gone up in the past couple years due to the fact that many people in cars seem to be oblivious of the presence of motorcyclists.

The fact is they deserve the same if not more attention because they are not protected by a metal cage. The chances of motorcyclists being seriously injured are more likely then a regular accident. Drivers must be respectful to not only motorcycle riders but also to those on bicycles.
