According to Safe Kids Worldwide and the General Motors Foundation data, parents are usually making five mistakes when using car seats.
Also according to statistics, 73% of car seats are not even being used properly. The solutions include: use rear-facing car seats for as long as possible, choose the proper seat for weight, height, or age, tighten the harness enough, and know the appropriate age for when the child should sit in the front seat.
Moreover, Safe Kids is offering a free car seat safety check up as well as a 15 minute home check list to ensure the proper usage of car seats.
