Ford is continuing to make newer and more fuel-efficient cars to compete with other automakers, as we have announced here previously. Now, the company is going hybrid.

The company announced that its 2013 Ford C-MAX Energi will contain a more than 20 mile battery-only range.

The vehicle will also boast a total range of more than 500 miles. The C-MAX’s battery life is longer than that of the 2012 Toyota Prius, which could be a good reason for some car owners to switch brands.

Exerts say that although this is a great improvement for Ford, this model of vehicle can only travel 11 miles on pure electricity.
