Finance Auto Sales Sued Under California Lemon Law
Torrance Lawsuit Against Finance Auto Sales
The Vachon Law Firm has announced the June 13, 2012 filing of a lawsuit against Finance Auto Sales, Incorporated. The lawsuit was filed in the Los Angeles County Superior Court, Southwest District, Torrance Courthouse, and is titled Medina v. Finance Auto Sales, Incorporated, et al. (Los Angeles County Superior Court Case No. YC067285). The Plaintiff, Carina Medina, is an Ontario, California consumer who purchased a 2006 Jaguar S-Type automobile from Defendant Finance Auto Sales in Torrance, California.
Allegations in Complaint Against Finance Auto Sales
The complaint alleges that Finance Auto Sales breached the California lemon law’s implied warranty of merchantability by selling Ms. Medina an automobile with a defect that prevents the vehicle from properly shifting gears, and which causes the check-engine warning light to illuminate. In addition to the California lemon law violations, the complaint also alleges that the Torrance, California used car dealership committed common law fraud and violated California’s Consumers Legal Remedies Act by misrepresenting that Jaguar S-Type had been inspected and was in excellent mechanical condition, even though Finance Auto Sales knew otherwise.

Please note: the Los Angeles County Superior Court has not yet determined whether or not Ms. Medina’s allegations are true. Finance Auto Sales, Incorporated is expected to deny all liability when it answers the complaint.
