Honda Recalls Models Linked To 43 Roll-Away Incidents

Honda vehicles have been linked to 43 incidents regarding vehicles rolling away unexpectedly, reports indicate.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, these complaints led to an investigation of affected models. Honda has reported that the official recall will be announced in February and that 871,000 vehicles are affected. The firm has stated that 318,000 units of the 2003 and 2004 Pilot and Odyssey vehicles, and 230,000 units of the 2003 through 2006 Acura MDX models present issues that could cause the vehicle to roll away after the driver took the ignition key off.

According to the federal agency, since one of the incidents reported led to injuries, affected consumers are warned they should always activate the emergency brakes until the issue is repaired.
