Incorrectly Installed Car Safety Seats Pose Major Risks, CHP Says

A recent car safety seat check led to an unsettling discovery, reports show.

According to an article issued by a local news agency, the Calaveras County car safety seat check performed by the California Highway Patrol discovered that 96% of the car safety seats that were inspected had not been installed appropriately, which could pose serious risks to a child.

Safety technicians looked into how well the car seats were installed and fitted to the children’s weight, age and height.

The authorities have revealed that, most car safety seats are installed incorrectly, which could be part of the reason why the number of children fatalities associated with auto crashes has increased.
