Kovatch Mobile Equipment Recalls Emergency Vehicles

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has reported that multiple models of emergency vehicles are being recalled due to an issue that could lead to potential loss of steering ability.

The federal agency has stated that the company Kovatch Mobile Equipment Corp. decided to issue this recall after it was reported that the emergency vehicles were equipped with certain grease fittings that could cause a tear to the cover due to the fact that the component could get caught while the vehicle is in use.

The reports indicate that the vehicles should have any defective part removed or repaired for free. The company should begin contacting affected vehicle owners in May 20, 2013.
