Multiple news agencies have indicated that Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC has issued a recall for multiple models of vehicles over a potential issue with the second row seat belt anchors.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, these vehicles were equipped with seat belt anchor fitting set of bolts that may have not been fully torqued during the vehicle’s assembly. The vehicles affected include all cars manufactured between May 15, 2012 and October 4, 2012 of the 2013 BlueTEC, GL450 4MATIC, GL550 4MATIC, and FL63 AMG models.

The recall campaign has begun and the firm has stated that it will be contacting all affected vehicle owners to have the problem promptly eradicated.
