New Crash Test Makes Huge Safety Impact
The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety also known as the IIHS has just released reports on a new crash test that will change the way car manufacturers apply safety features to their vehicles.
We’ve stated in the blog before that the new crash test that the IIHS is conducting is meant to recreate a frontal crash that is not necessarily a head-on, which hadn’t been conducted since 1995.
According to the federal agency, 40 percent of frontal crashes happen on the driver’s side of the car, 25 percent of collisions are head-on crashes and 35 percent happen on the passenger side of the car.
