New Honda Accord Coupe Gets 5-Star Safety Rating

Multiple news agencies have indicated that recently, Honda has announced that its 2013 Accord Coupe was the only model that got a 5-star Overall Vehicle Score after a battery of tests performed by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

According to the reports, the vehicle has also achieved a “Good” rating in tests carried out by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. The company has stated that this model comes with a series of new standard safety features including Back-Up Camera, Lane Departure Warning and Lane Watch assistance, Forward Collision Warning and SmartVent. According to the company, SmartVent is a series of front side airbags and side curtain airbags that have been redesigned to keep drivers and passengers from being injured in the most diverse of accident situations.

The chance of injuries goes down with the help of these airbags, which may have also helped the vehicle to obtain a better safety rating.

To prevent potential injuries, consumers are urged to ensure they are aware of the results in several crash tests performed by the federal agency and other organizations that hope to make driving a much safer to everybody.
