NHTSA Issues Recall for New Flyer Transit Buses

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has reported that multiple models of transit buses have been recalled over a possible injury risk.

According to the report recently released by the agency, New Flyer decided to issue this recall after it noted that all 2012 and 2013 XN40 and XN60, 2012 XD35 and XD40 and 2013 XD60, XDE40 and XDE60 models were equipped with push-to-start button switches that could eventually cause the engine to start abruptly. This problem could be due to the presence of a weak return spring, according to the agency.

The company has stated that all affected transit buses will be fully inspected for free. If needed, the switches will be replaced also for free. You can click here to read the full article for more details or contact New Flyer promptly to have your concerns and questions addressed quickly.
