NHTSA Still Investigating Shattering Hyundai Veloster Sunroofs

Hyundai Motors of South Korea has produced a vehicle that is currently the subject of a safety investigation carried out by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

In the United States, eleven drivers have filed complains with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration about the sunroofs of their vehicles. All vehicles involved in the incidents were the 2012 Hyundai Velosters.

The glass roofs have shattered in all eleven occasions, causing distraction that could have potentially led to an accident. In some cases, the incidents caused scratches to the drivers and passengers of the vehicles affected.
