NHTSA to Investigate Complaints Linked to Ford’s EcoBoost Engines

According to multiple news agencies, Ford’s EcoBoost engine package could be soon under a federal investigation if the company does not identify the issue linked to complaints reported by some consumers.

According to the news sources covering this problem, consumers have been experiencing some issues with the EcoBoost when it comes to the engine’s output. A preliminary investigation is being carried out to learn why the power is reduced when drivers request the vehicle to accelerate.

Up to this moment, 95 complaints have been reported.

Ford is now working with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to investigate what may be causing this problem.
