Bunnin Buick Settles Falsified Down Payment Lawsuit
Bunnin Buick Pontiac GMC Cadillac has agreed to settle a lawsuit filed by the Vachon Law Firm on behalf of a Ventura, California consumer. Bunnin Buick GMC operates out of Oxnard, California. Under the settlement, Bunnin Buick Pontiac GMC agreed to a damages payment and to cover the plaintiff’s attorney’s fees.
The Lawsuit’s Allegations
The plaintiff’s complaint alleged that Bunnin Buick violated California’s Automobile Sales Finance Act, the Consumers Legal Remedies Act, and the California Business & Professions Code. Specifically, the complaint alleges that Bunin Buick has an illegal business practice of falsifying down payments, which results in consumers being subject to predatory loans.
