Real World Situations Recreated In New Car Crash Test
Reports show that the small change added to the now well-known head-on collision test can make a big difference in public safety.
According to the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, the test is for a front facing crash but mimics a bit of an overlap between the car actually crashing and the obstacle or other vehicle it’s being crashed into.
Researchers say that this will help developers get a better understanding of real world situations when implementing future safety features.
