Smart ForTwo Wows In New Crash Tests

Multiple news agencies have reported that the new Smart ForTwo has been unveiled and that experts have been eager to learn if any great changes in the vehicle’s design or structure were performed.

The new model was put under new crash tests and according to recent reports, the vehicle seems to hold up well.

One of the tests the vehicle was subject to involved a simulation of a frontal collision involving another car that shares the Smart’s weight.  Out of all micro cars, the new Smart ForTwo was the only one that actually held up. According to experts, the new Smart ForTwo is much more resistant than its predecessors due to the changes in the vehicle’s structure, which were made possible due to the use of a high tensile steel component used in the vehicle’s safety cage.
