The Most Powerful Vehicles Under $30,000

According to several news agencies, experts have organized a list with the most powerful four-door cars available today for under $30,000.
The reports show that even consumers on a budget are able to drive vehicles with competent engines with good horsepower. The list was created by specialists that looked into all four-doors within a reasonable budget that offer decent cargo room.

The only sport compact that made the list is the Subaru WRX, specialists reported. According to the official list, the car is available for $26,565 and it has an EPA rate of 19 when it comes to city driving and 25 when it comes to highway driving.

This model is the only sport compact that made the cut due to its reasonable price and strong engine. This model comes with all-wheel-drive capabilities. This model also comes with Subaru’s wet weather stability technology. Tests show that this model may reach 60 mph in about 4.5 seconds, which places this vehicle in a much better position than its three main competitors. This model is the only in the list of most powerful vehicles under $30,000 that offers consumers the option of choosing different bodystyles of this same vehicle.

The Toyota Camry SE V6 has also made the list, reports show. According to experts, this model is a fuel efficient vehicle that can get 21 MPG in the city and 30 in the highway. This model is one of the best-selling in the country, reports show. Consumers looking for engine power, economy and practicality may find all of these factors in the new Toyota Camry SE. This model of vehicle hit 60 mph in 5.8 seconds, which makes this model a competent contender for the most powerful and affordable models available.

The new Nissan ALtima 3.5 S that is available for $25,700 can reach 22 MPG in the city and 31 in the highway and it also offers the enthusiastic driver a potent 270 hp and 251 lb-ft torque from its engine that was able to reach 60 mph in 5.9 seconds.

Experts have also added the Kia Optima SX to this list. According to official reports, this model available for $27,575 may not have had the best scores in the acceleration test, however, its engine offers drivers 274 horsepower without compromising fuel efficiency. The Kia Optima SX gets 22/34 mpg in the city and highway.

The Volkswagen Passat SE V6 has also made its way into the list with its 280 hp/255 lb-ft engine and acceleration power to make this model reach 60 mph in 5.7 seconds. This car is available for $29,235 and according to the 2012 Motor Trend Magazine, this model received a Motor Trend Car of the Year award. Families looking for a potent car may have just found what they were looking for with this model.

Other vehicles picked by experts were the Chrysler 200 Limited, the Dodge Avenger SE,  the Ford Taurus SE FWD V6 and the Dodge Charger SE.
