Vehicles Recalled By Chrysler Over Defective Safety Modules
It has been stated that Chrysler has issued a recall for all units of certain year models of Jeep Liberty and Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicles over an issue that could force certain airbags and seat belt pretensioners to be deployed unexpectedly.
The automaker decided to issue this recall as soon as it uncovered that the 2002 through 2004 Grand Cherokee models and 2002 and 2003 Jeep Liberty models could experience an air-bag control module failure, which could lead to an unexpected deployment of airbags and other safety devices.
If this occurs, the risk of crashes and injuries increases.
